Fashion Show Entry – Spring 2012
Attention Fashion Design Students:
……the department’s annual fashion show, RHYTHM, will be held onTuesday April 24, 2012 on the MAC Main Stage at 7pm.
This is a large production show, produced by the Fashion 1120 Fashion Promotion class, and ends with our annual design award showcase. See ticket information to reserve your tickets NOW!!
Thirty plus designers, journalists, artists, merchandisers, buyers are invited to critique your garment during a private JURY SHOW on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 and their scores determine the best students in design, tailoring, workmanship, eveningwear, etc..
In order to be eligible for the JURY SHOWCASE:
- You must be a current fashion design student and have taken a fashion course during the 2011-12 school year
- You must submit at least 3 original designs (pattern work must be available to show on request), the designs may have been created as a course assignment, or on your own time.
- Complete the DESIGNER INFORMATION SHEET, attach to a properly pressed and hung garment
– attach hanger straps if necessary. Improperly submitted garments will not be shown.
- Turn garments in by Tuesday March 20, 2012 at noon; a rack will be available in MAC250.
-Model fittings
: see important dates for fittings and rehearsals; you may wish to assist in choosing and fitting models during this time. Each garment must have a separate model. If you have a model, they must adhere to the model schedule and be available on a fitting night and at 3pm on Tuesday March 27, 2012.
- Garments will be kept for the “Rhythm Fashion Show” on April 24, 2012.

- Please submit original designs – designs from commercial patterns are accepted from Clothing Construction courses (I, II, III), Tailoring, Bridal Design and Textile Design.
- Complete the DESIGNER INFORMATION SHEET, attach to a properly pressed and hung garment
– attach hanger straps if necessary. Improperly submitted garments will not be shown.
- Turn garments in by Tuesday April 17, 2012 at noon; a rack will be available in MAC250.
-Model fittings
: see important dates for fittings and rehearsals; you may wish to assist in choosing and fitting models during this time. If you have a model, they must adhere to the model schedule and be available on a fittings, rehearsals and be available the entire day on Tuesday April 24, 2012 8am-1pm and 4pm -9pm.
-Please pick up your garment following the fashion show in the evening
